Yamaha Tricity Design
The Yamaha Tricity scores full marks as far as visual appeal is concerned, for this three-wheeled scooter definitely is a crowd magnet for the way it looks. The distinctive design with two wheels at the front and one at the rear make it look very unique.
As said above, the Yamaha Tricity has a two-wheeled layout at the front, which are placed parallel to each other, with individualistic dual-tone big fenders above them. Then comes the bulky and curvy looking front apron above, which has a lower mounted front headlamp.
This headlamp gets curved daytime running LEDs at its upper corners, while the upper corners of the front apron itself get clear lens turn indicators. To give it a touring stance, Yamaha has fitted the Tricity with a transparent visor atop of the front apron.
From the sides, the Yamaha Tricity has a profile reminiscent of a traditional maxi-scooter, with the front apron extending on the sides well towards the floorboard, giving it a long and wide stance. The upper portion of the sides of the apron have small air vents, giving it a sporty look.
The side body panels of the Yamaha Tricity look quite snazzy, which are divided into two parts, the lower one of which forms the floorboard. The side body panels also come integrated with big split pillion grab rails on either sides.
The Yamaha Tricity, like other maxi scooters, gets a single large stepped seat, which feels comfortable for two adults at ease. At the rear, the Yamaha Tricity has been given a simple look with LED tail lamp and clear lens blinkers on its either sides.
Giving a unique experience to the rider, the rider’s cockpit of the Yamaha Tricity feels big with clip-on handlebars and a very comprehensive instrument console which is a fully digital unit showcasing data of speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, and clock. On a practical note, the Yamaha Tricity has a couple of luggage hooks and a large 20 litres of storage space below the seat.

Yamaha Tricity Ride & Handling
This is one area where the Yamaha Tricity feels very different from other 125cc scooters available out there. The Tricity comes fitted with dual hydraulic telescopic forks for both of the front wheels which have separate functionality of their own, while the rear of the scooter comes with a traditional unit spring. The scooter rides on large 14-inch wheels at the front and a 12-inch wheel at the rear, which are also a big reason for its fantastic handling prowess. For braking duties, the scooter comes w twin disc brakes with one mounted on each wheel and a single disc at the rear.

Yamaha Tricity Engine & Fuel Consumption
The Yamaha Tricity sources its power from a simple four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, 124.8cc engine, which is mated to a V-belt automatic gearbox and pumps out a maximum power output of 11 PS and a maximum torque output of 10.4 Nm. The engine might sound a bit small for a scooter this large, but it has got good levels of refinement and low-end torque to make your commutes engaging.

Yamaha Tricity Braking & Safety
For an entry-level maxi-scooter, the Yamaha Tricity is adequately equipped with a decent safety kit like a unified braking system and a key shutter mechanism, apart from disc brakes all around.

Yamaha Tricity Verdict
It is not only the very unique design language of the Yamaha Tricity which sets it apart from other 125cc scooters on sale. Apart from that, the Tricity gives a very distinctive experience in the way it rides and handles, which might be not so easy for new riders at first, but they too can get adapted to it with time.
