Offers adequate power for all kinds of riding situations
The 321cc parallel-twin engine of the Yamaha YZF-R3 doesn’t have an optimum amount of power. However, it’s definitely more than adequate for all kinds of riding situations you will encounter on the street. Its friendly clutch feel and smooth throttle response allow new riders to handle traffic with ease and get away quickly from stoplights. Passing on the highway a couple of downshifts will be required, however, as there’s no optimum amount of midrange power to pull this bike through the tall sixth gear.
