The overall interior cabin of the Hino FC9JL7A looks simple and purposeful with its wide layout and ergonomically well-placed controls. The main highlight of this all-black cabin of the Hino FC9JL7A is the carbon-fibre surrounds for the AC vents as well as center console.

The large four-spoke steering wheel, as well as the all analog instrument console, look too simple, however, the center console tries to add some uniqueness with its wraparound design and faux carbon fiber finish. The large major front fascia of the Hino FC9JL7A has been shaped like a trapezium, with its inner contents being two thick and wide slats placed one over the other, which have broad tooth-shaped edges on their corners.

The front bumper of the Hino FC9JL7A looks quite sleek compared to the rest of the size of the truck, and houses large trapezoidal headlamp clusters on either ends. These clusters, apart from having the main headlamps, also come integrated with orange colored turn indicators as well as tiny fog lamps.

The side profile of the cabin of the Hino FC9JL7A doesn’t look too wide, which creates an impression of it being a compact truck, which it actually is. The side windows have a sloping lower waistline and rounded edges, while the upper and lower edges of the A-pillar have mounts for the large rearview mirrors. There is a small trapezoidal garnish on the door panels of the Hino FC9JL7A, with the black finished door handles placed on the side of them and small turn indicators placed below them. 

The Hino FC9JL7A is a 6-wheeled light-duty truck, which has a wheelbase of 4990mm, which is not too long but gives good stability to the truck with its rigid suspension setup. The fuel tank capacity too stands at a respectable figure of 200 litres. The top speed of the truck is rated at 112 kmph.

The Hino FC9JL7A gets its power from a 5.1-litre four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, which makes 207 PS of maximum power and 637 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox and impresses with its frugality and high pulling power. However, for an engine of this size, it is quite low on outright power.

Apart from the basic ones like three-point seat belts and side-impact beams, the Hino FC9JL7A is also equipped with a proper anti-lock braking system (ABS).
