Hyundai HD 370 S

On the inside, the Hyundai HD 370S looks decent, with the unique curved layout of the center console finished in faux wood theme uplifting the ambiance of the otherwise dull grey cabin. This dull grey finish makes the cabin look outdated and cheap.

While the driver’s cockpit comprising of a 2-spoke steering wheel, as well as a rectangular-shaped instrument console with several rounded analog gauges in it, looks drab, the curved center console looks quite happening.

This center console comes integrated with a number of things and is divided into two parts. While one part is placed just beside the instrument console and houses a rectangular panel for switches and an AC control panel below it, another part faces the driver on the curved part and accommodates a 1-DIN audio system and rectangular storage bin.

Placed adjacent to the driver seat is the large transmission lever. Apart from the center console, the areas surrounding the AC vents on the passenger side too come with faux wood inserts

While the Hyundai HD 370S has got a traditional stance with a bulky and rectangular design, there are several bits and nice design cues which try successfully in making it look very different from the rest of the breed of full-size trucks in the market right now.

The complete front look of the Hyundai HD 370S has a bold appeal to it. The front apron of the Hyundai HD 370S has got a protruding out design, with sleek and short air vents placed on the outers corners of it, in a vertical fashion.

The windshield placed above the front apron looks large and wide and comes with a curved lower edge and rounded corners. The extent of the largeness of the windshield is evident from the fact that it has got three different wipers on it.

The large front bumper placed below the protruding out-front apron comes with the major portion of the centrally placed wide trapezoidal grille. This grille has three horizontal slats in it, with the uppermost slat placed on the front apron and the rest of the grille on the front bumper. The large Hyundai logo is mounted in between the second and third slats of the grille. In addition to the grille, the front bumper also comes adorned with trapezoidal-looking headlamps on its upper corners and fog lamps with lower rounded edges on the lower corners. 

The Hyundai HD 370S looks sharp from the sides as well, thanks to the sharp character line flowing across the width of the side door panels. Apart from this unique trait, the rest of the bits of the Hyundai HD 370S’s side profile looks are quite conventional, in the form of hinged rearview mirrors and side molding above the wheel arches.

The Hyundai HD 370S is designed around a ladder-on-frame chassis and comes fitted with a suspension setup of semi-elliptic laminated leaf springs with shackle links at both front and rear. The braking setup of the Hyundai HD 370S is combined with a full air-operated dual-circuit service brake and spring-loaded type chamber parking brake.

The Hyundai HD 370S sources its power from a D6CA38A series inline six-cylinder diesel engine. This engine has the capacity to produce a maximum power output of 380 PS and a maximum torque output of 1569 Nm, and is coupled to a 16-speed gearbox, which also features 2 reverse gears.

The Hyundai HD 370S comes with only ABS as a prominent safety feature.

The Hyundai HD 370S rightfully makes up for the flagship offering in the commercial vehicle lineup of Hyundai, with a potently powerful and refined diesel engine, large visual appeal, and a decently designed interior cabin. However, the cabin and the list of features could have been better too.
