JAC Queen

Mirroring the simplicity in the visual appeal of its exteriors, the JAC Queen comes with a plain and functional looking interior cabin. The cabin gets all the necessary features that one expected from an entry-level light-duty truck, with a simple layout of the dashboard welcoming the driver.

The cabin of the JAC Queen gets a four-spoke steering wheel and a rectangular themed dashboard, with the latter getting rectangular panels for AC control levers, 1-DIN audio system and storage bins. The instrument console behind the steering wheel too has a rectangular layout with all analog displays.

Both the side edges of the centre console as well as the outer corners of the dashboard of the JAC Queen’s interior cabin comes with vertically designed AC vents. There is another basic storage space in the form of a closed glove box on the passenger side of the cabin.

When it comes to the exterior design, the visual appeal of the JAC Queen looks a bit outdated and very simple, given how the competition is moving forward with new and modern designs. However, the overall appearance of the JAC Queen looks very proportionate with a squared out design.

At the front, the JAC Queen welcomes with a simple profile comprising of a large windshield and a plain-looking grille. The windshield comes with rounded corners at the top, while at the bottom, the windshield gets tapered edges. Just below the lower corners of the windshield, there are curved housings for the mounting of black colored rearview mirrors.

The front apron of the JAC Queen has been styled in the form of a trapezium, which looks curved from both of its sides. There is a large JAC logo sitting in the middle, below which is placed a large chrome grille with two horizontal slats.

The JAC Queen comes with vertically placed trapezoidal headlamp clusters on both of its lower corners. Divided into two parts, these headlamp clusters come with turn indicators on their upper portions and simple looking halogen headlamps on their lower housings. The JAC Queen also comes with fog lamps which are placed in the sleek looking bumper at the bottom. 

The JAC Queen comes with traditional looking trapezoidal side window panels, with its lower shoulder line having a tapering down design. Apart from that, the door panels have a very lucid design, with ovular shaped turn indicators placed at their lower parts.

Both the body styles of the JAC Queen come with the same mechanical underpinnings under the skin, with a taper leaf spring setup for the suspension at both front and rear. The suspension setup is capable of withstanding loads of up to 3000 kg, which is commendable for a small truck of this size. A full air operated service brake has been employed for the JAC Queen.

The JAC Queen shares its HFC4DA1-2B1 (4JBI) series engine with the smaller JAC Prince truck. This inline four-cylinder diesel engine gets an intercooler, catalytic converter, turbocharger and exhaust gas recirculation, and is coupled to a manual gearbox as standard. The maximum power output of this engine is rated at 105 PS.

Save for the basic presence of seat belts, the JAC Queen misses out on all the other prominent and modern safety features.

The six-wheeled JAC Queen comes with a decent load carrying capacity and a set of features inside the cabin, which makes it a highly practical choice for those buyers who want a functional truck with more focus on abilities rather than aesthetics.
