JMC JMK6

The overall cabin layout of the JMC JMK6 is the same as that of the other entry-level light-duty trucks, with the whole cabin having a dull grey theme executed for it. The rectangular themed interior cabin looks very functional and boring to look at, but it manages to be usable with the number of storage places here and there.

The JMC JMK6 comes with a two-spoke steering wheel, and behind it, there is a large rectangular silver finished panel that houses the all-analog instrument console as well as the main center console. The center console has a number of rectangular themed panels for various things such as AC vents, the 1-DIN audio system, AC switches and other switches for various functions.

The cabin of the JMC JMK6 also features a couple of practical storage bins, such as closed glove boxes on the passenger side of the dashboard as well as scooped out curved storage place situated at the bottom of the center console.

The JMC JMK6 retains the actual and original design of the smaller offerings, the JMH and JMK4. The simple-looking design of the JMC JMK6 might not impress many people out there, and the fact that it looks exactly the same as the other light-duty trucks from JMC curbs its individuality. However, it is substantially bigger than the other light-duty trucks from JMC, which makes its road presence better than them.

The front profile of the JMC JMK6 comes with a large tapered windscreen, which features rounded edges and a sleek looking trapezoidal bar running across the width of the windscreen at its bottom. This blacked-out bar comes with mounts for rearview mirrors on its corners.

The rest of the front profile is constituted of a simple trapezoidal looking central apron and the whole assembly of sleek looking grille and headlamps below it. The grille is shaped in the form of trapezium too, with trapezoidal headlamps flaking the grille on its either sides. The headlamps come with tapered upper edges and also come integrated with clear lens turn indicators. The sleek-looking bumper at the bottom of the front profile comes fitted with big fog lamps on either ends.

The side profile of the JMC JMK6 looks longer than the other light-duty trucks, as it has the biggest length. However, the design is exactly the same as theirs, with zig-zag pattern for the lower part of the side window panels.

With a simple-in-construction suspension setup of leaf spring setup with shock absorbers both front and rear, the JMC JMK6 has a better payload capacity of 3000 kg. While the large dimensions over the other light-duty trucks from JMC does make its power to weight ratio comparatively lesser than them, it does makeup with the additional payload capacity it has to offer. When it comes to brakes, the JMC JMK6 is equipped with a full air operated service brake.

The JMC JMK6 comes with the same JX493ZLQ4B series inline four-cylinder turbocharged 2.8-liter diesel engine which powers the rest of the light-duty trucks in its range from the company. Here too, the engine has been paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox and pumps out maximum power and torque outputs of 102 PS and 220 Nm respectively.

Despite being a more premium and bigger offering than other light-duty trucks in its lineup, the JMC JMK6 doesn’t come with any other additional major safety feature, with it too featuring only seat belts in the passenger cabin.

The JMC JMK6 could have come up with additional features on board and slight changes to its visual appeal when compared to other light-duty trucks from JMC. However, the JMC JMK6 is mechanically sorted with its additional payload capacity due to bigger dimensions and stronger suspension unit.
