Shacman GJBHR384

For its segment, the Shacman GJBHR384 has got quite a modern-looking cabin, the layout of which looks pleasant despite having a simple layout. The all-black cabin of the Shacman GJBHR384 gets a curved layout for the dashboard, with the center console facing towards the driver.

The driver’s cockpit of the Shacman GJBHR384 gets a four-spoke steering wheel with nice looking chrome inserts and a trapezoidal housing for the instrument console behind it, which gets a host of analog dials.

The center console comes with a range of controls mounted on it, with it being divided into two housings, both of which are separated by a sleek layer of silver finish running across its width. While the upper layer of the center console integrates a host of switches, an open storage bin and a 1-DIN audio system in the upper housing, the lower housing gets switches for AC and other functions in the lower housing. 

The overall design of the Shacman GJBHR384 is shared with other medium-duty trucks from Shacman like the H3000, which looks quite modern and bold for the segment to which it belongs. The front fascia of the Shacman GJBHR384 impresses with its bold and busy appeal, which manages to give it a healthy road presence. 

The upper part of the front profile of the Shacman GJBHR384 understandably gets a big windshield, which gets a covering bar at the top of it and curved corners on its lower edges. Finished in a theme of black, the covering bar present at the top comes integrated with clear lens turn indicators on its corners.

The front apron of the Shacman GJBHR384, present between the front windshield and front bumper, gets a trapezoidal black grille. Finished in black, this grille gets tapered edges at the bottom and horizontal slats running across its width. The grille is flanked by vertically placed trapezoidal protrusions, which further make the front fascia look wide and muscular. 

The front bumper here looks quite big and muscular and comes fitted with large headlamps on its either corners. These headlamp units consist of projector bulbs for the main headlamps, fog lamps and orange turn indicators.

The aggressiveness of the design of the front profile of the Shacman GJBHR384 has been well carried forward in the side profile as well, with the door panels and rear quarter panel getting a streak of character lines flowing over them. The door panels come with hinges for the vertically placed rearview mirrors and vertical door handles on them, both of which are finished in black. The semi-rounded wheel arches of the Shacman GJBHR384 come integrated with orange-coloured small turn indicators on them.

Riding on two front wheels and eight rear wheels, the Shacman H3000 comes armed with MAN tech. 7t front axle and MAN tech. 2*16t rear axle. The Shacman GJBHR384 has been fitted with leaf springs and air-operated drum brakes at both front and rear.

The power in the Shacman GJBHR384 is supplied by an ISM11E4 345 type engine, which has been sourced from Cummins. This four-stroke, inline-six, diesel engine is a 10.8-litre engine, which makes 345 PS of power and 1699 Nm of torque, and is coupled to a manual gearbox.

The safety equipment list of the Shacman GJBHR384 is quite short and comes with some essentials like height-adjustable seat belts, a lockable passenger cabin and ABS as standard.

With its modern design and decent mechanicals, the Shacman H3000 proves its mettle as a new-age truck very well. However, the limited after-sales support and availability might shy away few potential buyers, which intend to keep the truck for a long period of time.
