Shacman H3000

In its category of medium-duty commercial trucks, the Shacman H3000 comes with one of the most modern and better-looking cabins among its competitors. The truck comes with a simply laid dashboard, with a curved design for it and a center console facing towards the driver.

The four-spoke steering wheel of the Shacman H3000 comes with nice chrome inserts, making it look good. The instrument console of the interior cabin is placed in a trapezoidal housing and gets conventional analog dials for various info.

The center console, which is facing towards the driver in a curved manner, comes fitted with a host of switches, an open storage bin and a 1-DIN audio system in the upper housing and switches for AC and other functions in the lower housing. Both the housings of the center console are separated by a slim silver-finished layer running between the two.

For its segment, the Shacman H3000 poses a very modern design and bold visual appeal, especially when looked at from the front. The Shacman H3000 has a bold looking front fascia, which might not look very distinctive from other trucks on sale, but is solid enough to give it a striking road presence.

At the front, the Shacman H3000 gets a large windshield at the top, which has curved edges at the bottom and gets a covering bar at the top. This covering bar, with its protruding out design, comes finished in black and has been integrated with clear lens turn indicators. 

The lower half of the front profile is covered majorly by the front apron, which looks busily styled with the grille being the highlight of the part. The grille is an all-black unit, which is shaped in a trapezoidal manner, with a tapered design at the bottom and two horizontal slats running across it. Besides the grille, there are two vertically aligned trapezoidal protrusions, which adds some muscular appeal to the front fascia.

The front bumper of the Shacman H3000 is quite large and comes with big trapezoidal headlamp units on the outer corners of it. The headlamps are rounded from their outer edges and come integrated with a projector bulb for the main headlamps, fog lamp and orange turn indicators.

The Shacman H3000 carries the same busy design of the front for its side profile as well, with the side door panels getting a streak of crisp character lines. The truck gets well-designed vertical rearview mirrors which gets black colored hinges on the upper and lower corners of the side window panels. The window panels have a conventional design of tapering down lower shoulder line. 

The truck comes with semi-rounded wheel arches, which come fitted with turn indicators on them. Above the wheel arches, the door panels come fitted with vertically aligned black door handles.

The Shacman H3000 has been fitted with MAN tech. 9t front axle and MAN tech. 2*16t rear axle, and rides on two front wheels and eight rear wheels. The truck is equipped with leaf springs and air operated service brakes at both ends.

The Shacman H3000 sources its power from an ISM11E4 385 type Cummins engine, which is a 10.8-litre diesel-powered engine. This engine comes mated to an EATON manual transmission as standard and is capable of putting up a maximum power output of 390 PS.

The Shacman H3000 comes equipped with height-adjustable seat belts, a lockable passenger cabin and ABS as standard, as a part of the safety equipment list.

With its modern design and decent mechanicals, the Shacman H3000 proves its mettle as a new-age truck very well. However, the limited after-sales support and availability might shy away few potential buyers, which intend to keep the truck for a long period of time.
