Shacman X3000 Dump Truck

Even though the Shacman X3000 Dump Truck is positioned above the H3000 in the company’s lineup, its interior cabin is not as finely executed and modern in its appearance as that of the latter. The cabin looks pretty basic but has got all essentials like power windows, music system and tilt-adjustable steering.

There is a decent looking wraparound styled dashboard present behind the four-spoke steering wheel, which is finished entirely in glossy black. It accommodates a simple analog instrument console in the left and a whole console of controls in its right, the latter of which faces the driver. This particular housing gets a host of controls, including a 1-DIN audio system and AC control panel stacked vertically, with a range of switches for various functions towards its right and below it.

The Shacman X3000 Dump Truck possesses a strong road presence, owing to its mammoth size and modern design lines, which makes the truck immediately noticed. While it has some similarities with the lower-spec H3000, the Shacman X3000 Dump Truck comes with its own set of design cues, which manages to differentiate it from the former.

The Shacman X3000 Dump Truck looks huge from the front, with a very big windscreen, which has rounded edges at the bottom and is curved from the sides, extending towards the A-pillar. Just above the windscreen, the covering bar is placed, which is finished in black and comes fitted with diagonal shaped clear lens turn indicators, which is a unique touch to its overall design.

The front apron of the Shacman X3000 Dump Truck has a nice dual-tone look, with the inner portion finished in a contrasting theme of black. This portion includes the wide looking trapezoidal front grille, which is finished in black and gets two big horizontal slats with the large rounded Shacman logo in the middle. 

This dual-tone look of the front apron extends towards the front bumper of the truck as well, which looks much similar to that of the H3000 series truck. The bumper comes with large trapezoidal-shaped headlamps on its either corners, which have rounded edges on the outside and comes fitted with projector lamps, clear lens turn indicators and fog lamps all in a single unit.

Coming to the side profile of the Shacman X3000 Dump Truck, the truck gets a large combination of side window panels, which also include rear quarter glass. This whole window panel combination is surrounded by a contrasting black finish, which merges well with that of the front apron on its upper edges. The Shacman X3000 Dump Truck comes with body-coloured rearview mirrors and semi-rounded wheel arches, both of which are unique to the segment to which it belongs. The dumper mounted on the back, however, is finished entirely in the body color and gets a simple design for it.

The Shacman X3000 Dump Truck comes armed with MAN tech. 9.5t axle at the front, while at the rear, it gets MAN tech. 2*16t 5.262 axle at the rear. The truck rides on four wheels for the main assembly and eight wheels for the rear dumper, giving it an 8x4 combination. The truck is fitted with leaf springs for the main suspension unit and air operated service brakes at both ends.

The engine powering the Shacman X3000 Dump Truck is a 10.8-litre four-stroke inline six-cylinder diesel engine that has been sourced from Cummins. The engine has been married to a manual gearbox and makes maximum power and torque outputs of 420 PS and 2000 Nm respectively.

The Shacman H3000 gets a basic safety equipment list, comprising height-adjustable seat belts, a lockable passenger cabin and ABS as standard.

While the Shacman X3000 Dump Truck looks quite great on the outside, the interior cabin looks pretty basic in comparison. However, the reliable Cummins engine and mechanical underpinnings make it a durable package.
