T-King T6 Apollo

There is nothing much to talk about the interior cabin of the T-King T6 Apollo, as it looks very functional and purposeful with minimal essentials placed where they should be. The cabin of the T-King T6 Apollo comes equipped with a two-spoke steering wheel, manual AC vents, a 1-DIN audio player and power windows. However, we would have liked to see a pleasant arrangement of all these bits, which here look very outdated.

The T-King T6 Apollo has a refreshing design, which might have a conventional stance and silhouette. However, it looks quite striking and different from the other trucks in this segment of light-duty commercial vehicles.

At the front, the T-King T6 Apollo too has a squared looking appearance when viewed head-on. However, there are a number of design elements that easily make it look very distinctive when compared to other trucks.

Instead of having angular looking bits, the T-King T6 Apollo has a rounded influence in many of its bits. Take, for example, the front windscreen itself, which looks large and has a curved design with rounded edges on all four corners. The upper edge of the windscreen gets thick black plastic garnish across its width. The upper and lower edges of the windscreen have dual rearview mirrors mounted on both sides. This is one of the few trucks in its category to get body-coloured rearview mirrors.

The other main highlight of the front profile of the T-King T6 Apollo has to be the wide looking grille. This grille has a trapezoidal design with a curved lower edge and chrome lines on the center and lower edges of the grille. The side edges of the front apron get vertical air scoops with side bulges, which manage to make the truck look wider. 

The front bumper of the T-King T6 Apollo too manages to make the truck look bulky and large, thanks to its broad design. The corners of the bumper come integrated with trapezoidal headlamp clusters with tapered outer edges. Apart from the main headlights, these headlamp clusters also include turn indicators and fog lamps in their lower parts.

The T-King T6 Apollo has an attractive looking side profile by commercial vehicle standards. The side window panels are divided into two parts, with the large one having a tapering down window waistline and the other panel being a slim vertical one with rounded edges. There is a smooth character curve flowing above the semi-rounded wheel arch, above which there is a small rectangular door handle placed on it. The wheel arches here are thick and finished in body color, and come integrated with turn indicators. Surprisingly, there are additional turn indicators mounted on the lower corners of the door panels ahead of the wheel arches, below which there are steps finished in black color.

The T-King T6 Apollo comes with a conventional set of leaf springs at both ends as its main suspension unit. This 6-wheeled truck has a wheelbase of 5200mm and has a turning radius of 5.75m.

The T-King T6 Apollo is powered by a four-cylinder diesel engine, however, the manufacturer has kept its power and torque as well as other configurations under wraps. However, the truck has a claimed top speed of 108 kmph.

The entry-level positioning of light-duty trucks make them devoid of major safety features, and the T-King T6 Apollo too gets only safety seat belts as prominent safety equipment.

The T-King T6 Apollo might not be the segment-best offering in the light-duty commercial vehicle category. However, the truck offers a decent load carrying capacity and exterior styling for its price.
