T-King T6 Galaxy

The overall interior of the T-King T6 Galaxy has been shared with that of the T6 Apollo. The entire cabin looks too simple and dated by modern standards, and gets only the essential features. The list of things available in the cabin of the T-King T6 Galaxy includes a two-spoke steering wheel, 1-DIN audio system, manual AC and power windows. The fit and finish levels of the panels too leave a lot to be desired.

The T-King T6 Galaxy might be having a conventional boxy and upright stance, but it manages to look refreshing and striking as compared to other light-duty trucks. There are a few design elements that try to give it its own identity.

There are a couple of bits in the front profile of the T-King T6 Galaxy which has a rounded influence on the way they look. Like the rounded edges of the large windshield, which itself is a curved unit, and the lower part of the grille. The hinges of rearview mirrors are placed on the upper and lower corners of the windshield. There are two body-coloured rearview mirrors on both sides of the truck.

Coming to the grille, this trapezoidal unit has a sleek chrome garnish running across its center and its lower part, which as discussed earlier, has a rounded theme. The large rounded logo sits in the middle and the flat part of the apron above the grille has bold T-King lettering written in the middle. The side edges of the front apron beside the grille have vertical air scoops mounted on them.

Adding more muscle and visual appeal to the T-King T6 Galaxy is its huge front bumper, the corners of which are integrated with a big cluster of main headlamps. These headlamps, apart from having the main headlights, also come with turn indicators and fog lamps in them.

The T-King T6 Galaxy has a very simple but pleasant-looking side profile, consisting of two-part window panels. The front window panels have a tapering down waistline, which makes them cover half of the door panel design. The door panels too come with black colored door handles and smooth curved character lines above the semi-wheel arches, which here are thick looking body-coloured panels. Both the wheel arches as well as the bottom portion of door panels come with turn indicators mounted on them.

For the main suspension, the T-King T6 Galaxy has been fitted with a series of leaf springs at both ends. The truck has a 6-wheel configuration and has a wheelbase of 5700mm, which is almost 500mm more than that of T6 Apollo, a truck on which it is based. Even with a longer wheelbase, the T-King T6 Galaxy has a turning radius of 5.75m – the same as that of the T6 Apollo.

Powering the T-King T6 Galaxy is the same four-cylinder diesel engine that powers its smaller version, the T6 Apollo as well. While the power and torque outputs as well as other specifications are undisclosed by the company, the truck is capable of hitting a top speed of 108 kmph.

Except for ABS, there is no other safety feature in the T-King T6 Galaxy, which make it feel like a built to cost option.

Save for a longer wheelbase, and eventually a longer loading bay, there is no other difference between the T-King T6 Galaxy and the T6 Apollo. So, it is worth going for the T6 Galaxy only if you need a longer loading bay for hauling those extra loads.
