TATA Prima 6038 S

The cabin of the Tata Prima 6038S has a very unique layout which makes it look very broad and huge from the inside. The dashboard here has a slanted design with a curved layout across its width, which makes the cabin look wide and huge.

The four-spoke steering wheel, as well as a large instrument console with analog dials, might look simple at first, but the latter has an innovative arrangement for the dials which enhance its overall appeal. The curved and huge center console has two large rectangular panels integrated on it – while the left panel comes with controls for AC and other features arranged in a vertical manner, the right panel gets a 2-DIN audio system and AC vents within it. The large windshield positioned at the top comes with a broad blacked our garnish below it, which has rounded edges towards outer corners and broad Tata badging in the middle. Just below this, the Tata Prima 6038S has got a smart design with a broad and big front apron, on which a sleek looking grille with lower curved edges is placed. This grille comes with a sleek chrome garnish above it and a couple of horizontal slats within it.

This grille is flanked with vertical air scoops with curved designs on the outer edges of the front apron, which help in making the front look of the truck feel wide. The Tata Prima 6038S has a wide looking front profile, which comes with its own set of design cues that make it look different from other trucks available. The S-shaped character line flowing from the edge of the front air scoops to the back of the door panels is the major highlight here. The Tata Prima 6038S comes fitted with a parabolic leaf spring setup at the front and two spring balance beam bogie with semi-elliptical multi-leaf spring and rubber mounted torque rods and V-rods at the rear. The truck has Full Air Dual Circuit S-Cam with ABS as the main service brake and Jake Brake with Auto Slack adjuster as its parking brake. The truck rides on 315/80 R 22.5 tyres on all the ends.

The Tata Prima 6038S has an 8.9-litre six-cylinder diesel engine, which is essentially a Cummins ISLe 375 series engine. Coupled with a 9-speed manual gearbox, this engine pumps out a maximum power output of 375 PS and a peak torque output of 1550 Nm.
