Pre-Owned Isuzu Traviz: Why Would You Want One?
The small commercial vehicle market has always had the dominance from Japanese players, which have offered a number of reliable and long lasting products in this segment in the past and are continuing to offer a number of them even today. Among all the small commercial pickup trucks available in the market right now, the Isuzu Traviz proves its case as an underrated yet worth-to-consider option.
While the Isuzu Traviz is currently available in the Philippines market in a refreshed avatar, this model holds its history all the way back to the early years of the first decade of the 21st century. Considering Isuzu’s prowess in making vehicles with rugged underpinnings which enable them to survive the tide of time, the Isuzu Traviz is a must-to-look model in the used car market, if you are out for a basic commercial pickup truck at a low budget.
2nd hand Isuzu Traviz for Sale: Pros & Cons
Used Isuzu Traviz Pros:
- The diesel engine is highly efficient, making it economical to run
- Low turning radius and presence of power steering makes it a breeze to drive
- Cabin is ergonomically well designed with enough basic comfort and convenience features available in the cabin
Used Isuzu Traviz Cons:
- Diesel engine sounds gruff at higher rpms
- Very few samples available in the used car market, that too very old ones
- Lack of safety features
Isuzu Traviz Overview
While Isuzu is prominently known for making big and intimidating UVs like mu-X and D-Max in today’s times, the Japanese UV maker also sells a rather basic small commercial pickup in the form of Traviz. The Isuzu Traviz is the brand’s oldest vehicle in the current lineup, and is currently in its second generation avatar.
Not much has changed in the Isuzu Traviz in terms of design, with the current iteration having a restyled front grille and headlamp cluster when viewed from the front. The design of the door panels and windows, however, has been heavily altered, which makes it look bigger than the first generation model it has replaced.
The Isuzu Traviz is currently being offered in a total of two cab and chassis variants:
Both these variants of the Isuzu Traviz can be had in three different body configurations – dropside truck, aluminium passenger van and refrigerated closed compartment van. With this, the Isuzu Traviz is being offered as both load as well as a people carrier, although in a basic manner.
The Isuzu Traviz sources its power from a 2.5-litre four cylinder diesel engine, which here is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and makes 78 PS of maximum power output and 176 Nm of peak torque output.
The interior cabin of the Isuzu Traviz feels decently built and designed for a basic commercial pickup truck. The dual tone black and beige upholstery feels plush, with all the basic equipment like a 1-DIN music system and manual air conditioning in place.
Used Isuzu Traviz for Sale on Carmudi
While the Isuzu Traviz has been offered in the Philippines commercial vehicle market for almost two decades now, it is the longevity of the model that makes it not much available on the shelf of the used car Philippines market. Finding used Isuzu Traviz can be a task as it is not as popular as its competitors, though here at Carmudi, currently, we have the following samples of used Isuzu Traviz:
- Isuzu Traviz 2014 – PHP 690,000
- Isuzu Traviz 2006 – PHP 490,000
Despite being a rugged and highly capable model, the Isuzu Traviz is not as popular and high-in-demand model as its other siblings from Isuzu which are now no more in production, such as Crosswind MPV, mu-X SUV and D-Max lifestyle pickup truck.

Used Isuzu Traviz additional advice
- The Isuzu Traviz is worth considering in the used car market, if you are out for a small yet rugged and highly practical small pickup truck.
- The highly economical diesel engine of the Isuzu Traviz is well known and proven for its reliability and efficiency, especially in the longer run.
- The used car market has very few samples of Isuzu Traviz, so buying one can be difficult when it comes to making a bargain.
