Pre-Owned Kia Picanto: Why Would You Want One?
Kia has come a long way from making basic and dull looking vehicles in the past to creating new benchmarks in the mass market segments with its new and refreshed range of vehicles. One such prominent vehicle from Kia’s lineup in the Philippines is its smallest offering yet, the Picanto hatchback. The entry level Kia Picanto has seen all of its three generations in the Philippines car market, and has been one of the longest selling models from Kia here.
The Kia Picanto has been on sale in the Philippine car market right from 2004 with the first generation model, and in all these years, has seen second and third generation models as well. The current third generation model has nearly the same size and stance of the previous generations, but obviously boasts of a much fresher design and equipment level in and out.

- Fit and finish levels of the panels inside the cabin make it the plushest in its segment

Kia Picanto Overview
In all these years, the Kia Picanto has emerged out as a trusted, reliable and affordable option for the masses, preferably first time car buyers, owing to its compact dimensions, easy to drive nature and accessible price range. For the current third generation model, Kia has worked heavily on the Picanto, and in the process, has uplifted the build quality and fit and finish levels of the car.
This current generation Kia Picanto can be had in one of the four different variants:
While the 1.0 LX variants have been blessed with a 1.0-litre three cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine (67 PS of power/95 Nm of torque), the more premium 1.2 EX variants are bestowed with a bigger and more powerful 1.2-litre four cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine (84 PS of power/122 Nm of torque). Both the 1.0 LX and 1.2 EX variants have been provided with the transmission options of 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearboxes.
The current third generation Kia Piacnto has uplifted the game in the entry level hatchback segment when it comes to features and performance, with the list of the former including kit like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, projector fog lamps, diamond cut alloy wheels, electrical operation for outside rear view mirrors and more.
