The Toyota Yaris has received multiple premium facelifts and upgrades over the years, gaining more modern and sporty touches that have been taken from its siblings--the Toyota Wigo and Toyota Vios. This 5-seater passenger hatchback is notorious for its generously spacious cabin which includes rear seats that can be folded into a 60:40 split, adding to its 326-liter trunk capacity.
There are two powertrains are available for the Yaris: a 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i 4-cylinder gasoline engine that generates 98 hp and 123 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-liter 2NR-FE gasoline engine that is capable of producing 106 hp and 140 Nm of torque. These can be mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
Inside, the Yaris is equipped with a 6.75-inch infotainment system display which has AUX, USB, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Smart Device Link capability. Higher trims also include automatic climate control, smart entry, a push-to-start button, and speed sensing door locks.
It has standard safety features such as seven airbags, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, an immobilizer, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
